I’m Sophie Brookes, a writer based in the UK!

I write gothic and LGBTQIA+ fiction, and I also write poetry. I adore Oscar Wilde and Edgar Allan Poe, and they’ve both gravely influenced my style of writing. Whilst I’ve yet to publish anything of my own, I’ve written as part of several anthologies, and I’m currently working on my debut poetry collection!

When I’m not writing I enjoy reading, listening to heavy metal, playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons, and I’m also an amateur cosplayer. I adore all things dark and spooky, so you can usually find me strolling through cemeteries for pleasure!

I’m also a chronic insomniac, which suits me fine because my talent seems to grace me in the darkest reaches of the night!
